Kab. Malang (MAN 1 Malang) Siswa MAN 1 Malang berhasil mengharumkan nama madrasah sekaligus provinsi Jawa Timur setelah berhasil meraih Perak cabang olahraga Shorinji Kempo pada event Pekan Olahraga Pelajar Nasional (POPNAS) XVI Tahun 2023 yang diselenggarakan di Palembang.
“Alhamdulillah siswa kita atas nama Burhan yang mewakili Jawa Timur dalam Popnas 2023 berhasil meraih perak Shorinji Kempo,” ucap Guru PJOK sekaligus Pelatih Kempo MAN 1 Malang, Lukman Hadi.
Pekan Olahraga Pelajar Nasional (POPNAS) XVI Tahun 2023 diselenggarakan oleh KONI pada tanggal 26 Agustus hingga 3 September 2023 di Palembang.
Burhan Fauzi, siswa MAN 1 Malang yang saat ini duduk di kelas 12 IPA 3 ini mewakili Jawa Timur setelah sebelumnya berjuang menjadi yang terbaik pada Popda tingkat Kabupaten dan Provinsi beberapa bulan sebelumnya.
Prestasi yang berhasil diraih oleh Burhan ini tentunya mendapatkan apresiasi luar biasa dari madrasah. Apa yang ia peroleh dapat memberikan inspirasi kepada seluruh siswa di Jawa Timur khususnya di MAN 1 Malang untuk terus mengembangkan bakat dan kemampuan dalam berbagai bidang olahraga.
Ditemui di ruangannya, Kepala MAN 1 Malang Dr. Khairul Anam, M. Ag. menyampaikan rasa syukur dan bangganya atas prestasi yang berhasil diraih oleh siswanya ini.
